Kale is one of the youngest Udinovik's, rather spoilt and very much a snob. He enjoys his own company just as much as the company of others. Fond of classical reads, Kale was often found tucked up somewhere in the estate, when the other's were outside. He didn't like to ruin his clothes. He still doesn't even now. He doesn't like the cold, or the hot. Autumn is the best.


He can get rather moody, dark and brooding. His temper-tantrums have caused the whole family to be in misery for days when he was younger. He is famous for his bottom lip. He is far more spoilt than the others in his family, taking everything and anything for granted.

Kale's life started out as any stereotypical rich child does. With anything, from the moment he was awake to the moment he went to sleep, he ever wanted. Life was easy, could have been a breeze, but Kale dreaded to think of his life as anything but tiresome. With all his elder siblings, he had to fight for, and often loose attention from his mother and father. As the second youngest (bit eight minutes) he was neither one nor the other. He wasn't his sweet little sister, or his charming elder brother.

One thing is easy to see, he had a jealous childhood. There was only one relative that truly sympathised with Kale, and that was his slightly mad Aunt Kitty - or Katerina to anyone else. His father's younger sister, at school she had been put in Hufflepuff, and was all but disowned in the families eyes. When he was little, he couldn't see why it was such a bad thing. But as he and his siblings grew older, and as they slowly filtered into Slytherin, he began to worry. His Aunt, who had always been so sweet to him, got a horrible moody Kale thrown at her.

They grew apart, but every year for Christmas, she would send him a few English muggle classic, and too her face he would not thank her, but he still carried the copies here back every year to Hogwarts. It was too improve his English, he would say to his siblings. But it was perfect anyway, and they all knew he just loved the gifts. She gave him the attention he had been searching for in his parents.

Even when she gave him his cat, the year school started, he wasn't the same with her until after he was safely placed into the house his parents would be proud of. At school he saw why Hufflepuff and Slytherin just didn't mix. And he soon became yet another Udinovik, who by the age of eleven could speak both Swedish (he home language) and with a delicious accent, he could speak English perfectly.

Y O U R DARK S I D E

Kale threw himself into an overstuffed arm chair, opening a tattered copy of the English translation of Homers' The Odyssey. He was very much enjoying it for the sixth time. The Greek Gods amused him. Slipping on his glasses, he sighed and began reading. It had taken his rather a while to find a room quiet enough for him to concentrate on it. With family visiting, a lot of the rooms in the house were being used.

The door creaked open, and in padded his best friend. Miss. Penny sauntered over to him, and without hesitation hopped onto his lap. She brushed her face against the book, meowing loudly. He chuckled and scratched her just behind her ear, and he got a satisfactory purr.

"I guess i wont be reading then." he smirked, and placed his book down next to him. Miss. Penny crawled onto his stomach and rolled over. this cat has a serious need for attention. he mused as he stroked the soft fluff of her underside. More purring.

"Kale?" his favourite sister, Katerina, poked her head round the door. She looked relieved when she saw him there. "Mama said that Madeline will be getting dinner on the table soon, and that you are to come downstairs." she smiled. "Granny Alexsandra wants to talk to you." he groaned, and heaved himself up off the chair, slipping his glasses into his blazer pocket and wandering down the corridor after his sister, and rather disgruntled Penny following after him.
