personality
Johanna’s a manipulator - she’s grown up rich and spoilt, but can’t stand people of her own ‘class’. She hates the stuffy, proper nature of the upper class, but finds herself strangely drawn to it at the same - particularly the Ministry. Her interest in politics and law comes from her stubborn, opinionated nature and her strong sense of right and wrong.
A naturally liberal person, she can’t stand people who judge others, based off things they cannot change - she, however, can be quite a judgemental person at time. She dislikes people who don’t care about their appearance, and also has little time for arrogant people.
She’s not the easiest person to get along with, due to her trust issues and flirty personality. She’s flirted with most of the attractive men she’s ever met, bar her brother-in-law (okay, maybe just the once). If people don’t agree with her, she doesn’t try to win them over - they are an enemy, and stay that way until they come round to her side.

detailed history
Johanna was the youngest child of Jacque and Suzanne Allender, and grew up in France. At the age of eight, her parents were involved in a messy divorce; Johanna still doesn’t know the real reason behind their divorce. Her father remained in France, whilst her mother returned to England, where she was originally from. There, she took over a small residence (though still a manor, by many standards) where she grew impressive gardens, complete with fountains and colourful plants. Johanna enjoyed her visits to the warm, quiet Devon manor that her Mother lived in, and disliked returning to the cold, regal manor that she lived in, with her Father.
As the children got older, Suzanne demanded that they attend Hogwarts, though she allowed them to return to France for the summer (if they wished to). All three of the Allender children were sorted in Slytherin, and Johanna found herself in her element at Hogwarts. She enjoyed the independence and chance to reinvent herself. She fell in with the usual rich, pureblood group, but by her Third Year had grown to dislike their stuck-up, arrogant views.
She became friends with more liberal, carefree purebloods, both within and outside of Hogwarts. During the summers, she went to live with her elder siblings instead of her parents - due to them living in major cities, and their exciting, edgy lives. During the summer between her Fourth and Fifth Year, she lived with her brother in London and met many upcoming politicians - some of which she allied with, others she pledged never to like. They also interested her in politics, and made her seriously consider a career in politics - along with fashion.
She became more and more independent and rebellious, and vocal in her views. She frequently argues with guests at her parent’s party, and often assists her brother in his work at the Ministry. She also keeps in contact with her sister, to keep up with fashion and all the gossip that surrounds celebrity life.
Johanna tries not to stick to one social group within Hogwarts, and slips from one to one - collecting gossip, and manipulating people against each other. Nothing happens in Hogwarts without her noticing, and people always know when Johanna Allender is involved in something - it normally ends in her favour.
