Johanna was going to write to her Father as soon as possible, and inform him that she would be staying at Hogwarts for the Christmas holidays. Her Father didn't trust any 'foreign' wizarding famalies - he found the British and Belgians acceptable. She'd once tried to visit a German boy she'd met through her sister, and her Father had practically locked her in her room. Okay, he wasn't really a boy; he was nineteen, which was the excuse her Father used for not allowing her to visit him.
But they both knew it was because he didn't trust European Wizarding famalies. Johanna could understand where he came from - the European aristocracy was a deadly place. Filled with class, Dark Magic and snobbery, it was a tough place to grow up; if you put a foot wrong in a foreign country, you risked losing prospects across the whole of Europe. Her sister had been embroiled in a scandal involving the Wasserman's eldest son, and had yet to be invited to any event by any Austrian, Switz or German pureblood family.
So Johanna was really hoping that she wasn't going to mess up; she was rather fond of Scandinavia, and would hate to be socially banned from ever going there again.
"Yeah, your brothers really are whores - did you know that Nikolas and my sister were together at one point? Imagine the horror if they'd got married; Merlin, we'd of had to attend their wedding. You in a suit, and me in a bridesmaid dress," Johanna said with a frown at the idea, taking a deep drag from her cigarette to calm herself down.
She hated weddings with a passion. At her own wedding, she was going for simple and only invite people she actually knew. Bloody hell, the amount of times she'd been to weddings where she'd only known a handful of the hoards of guests. Most of the time at weddings, she'd swipe a few bottles of Firewhiskey and sit out in the gardens with whoever was her age.
Most of the time it was Henrik Scholz, a handsome German pureblood that she'd known since she was six. He went to Durmstrang, but shared her views on pretty much everything; she'd spent their early teenage years forcing most of the views upon him, but she was constantly shocked that he remained so accepting, despite attending Durmstrang.
She also made a mental note to write him a letter at some point; while she was in Sweden, she could probably visit Durmstrang in Norway. It made sense.
"Trust me, you'll be in tears when you realise what a prissy cow Kyou is. And I can't believe you took Astronomy - its almost as bad as Divination," chuckled Johanna. She had hated Divination with a passion, and held Astronomy in distate aswell. The two weren't related, but she'd struggled in both.
"Well, I'm taking Potions, Charms, Transfiguration, DADA, Magical Theory, Ancient Runes and Muggle Studies. I was going to take Wizarding Law, but they dropped the damn subject. Apparently, not enough students were taking it - I was rather gutted. I'd been hoping to use it to get into the Ministry," said Johanna, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
She inhaled from her cigarette and blew out the smoke slowly. She wasn't sure why she wanted to get into the Ministry so badly, but she just did. After all, she couldn't have idiots like her brother in control; as much as she loved him, he was barely able to tie his shoelaces by himself.

He recoiled at the thought. That was one story of Hogwarts his brother Nikolas had obviously omitted. Not that Kale couldn't fathom it. By the sounds of it, Nik and Johanna's sister would have probably made a good match.
He touched the edges of his collar fondly, and hide a small smile. He was rather proud of his look, and his suits were the highlight of his wardrobe. "But Johanna, wouldn't I look simply dashing in a suit? Are we going to have to take this Allender shopping for an evening dress or two, for this Christmas break?" he smiled in a darling, un-teasing manner.
"I will have to keep my brothers under a close eye with you in the house. It's not often we get beautiful female guests staying for the winter." he laughed. My brothers can act rather like ill-mannered dogs, even at the best of times."
"Let me make my own judgements, Jo my darling. Anyone would think your jealous of my affections towards her." he raised a sceptical eyebrow, deadly serious. "And I took it because I enjoy it. You only don't like it because your hopeless at it." he said defensively. He liked the subject, more than most of his others.
He stubbed his ciggerette out, and scooped his cat up. She gave out a happy noise and he smiled slightly, petting her from nose to tail. "You'll need more than N.E.W.Ts to get into the ministry, Johanna dear. he said coldly, not looking up from his cat.

Johanna smiled slightly at the idea of shopping; she hadn't been to London for awhile. The next Hogsmeade trip, she decided she was going to get to London. Either by Floo or the Knight Bus; she'd grown to know the conductor quite well. And he was quite happy to let her use the Knight Bus to her own extent.
"I have several evening dresses, my dear Udinovik, but I shall not turn down the chance for more. I assume that we will be shopping as your treat?" smirked Johanna, throwing her hair over her shoulder.
Johanna knew that Kale disliked his elder brothers, though she found them rather charming. They were sometimes rather blunt and too heavy-handed with their compliments, but Johanna did not mind - she'd spent time at Ministry events before, with equally blunt men that were not as attractive as Kale's brothers.
"Ah, you are too complimentary - besides, I can handle myself. I'm rather good at hexes too - remember Harold Goyle in the year above? He once tried to kiss me, and was enable to walk for a month after," smirked Johanna, stubbing out her cigarette.
She began to look through her plays again, and paused as Kale's tone adopted a defensive stance. She arched an eyebrow at him, and then flicked through the plays briskly. Merlin, she'd obviously touched a sore point. Then, as Kale commented upon her number of N.E.W.Ts, her eyebrows soared. She slammed her copy of 'Merlin' shut.
"Well, I think I'll manage - add that to my natural charisma, presidency of the Drama Club and connections, I'm certain that I shall be fine. Remind me again, exactly, what you want to do once you leave Hogwarts" Johanna asked curtly, with a pointed gaze at Kale
She'd never known anybody to be so passionate about Astronomy - then again, this was Kale Udinovik.

He would have to treat her to dresses that fit the high standards of an Udinovik dinner party. No hem shorter than the floor. "Oh course it will be my treat. We shall have to get leave to London before the holidays, shall we not?" He smiled.
He knew very well that Johanna could hex and handle herself, he had watched Anthon be the subject of one such hex. He had been teasing her, gone to far, and ended up in the hospital wing. It had been nasty, though he still persisted to go after Johanna again afterwards. He nodded.
"So you are jealous then of the little Ravenclaw." he mused, as she didn't spare one second to talk about Kyou. She obviously didn't want him to think she was though. Penny meowed, turning her gaze back and forth from Kale to Johanna, trying to figure out why the temprature had dropped so drasically between them.
He rolled his eyes. If he was being huffy, then she matched him ten to one. The sun had finally set, and so, it seemed, had their good nature towards each other.
"I want to travel, write novels depicting the countless places I have been. I want to see the world, not be locked in some stuffy office. Mother and Father have offered to fund me. Maybe after that, dabble in either Quidditch or modelling. " he said calmly. Johanna knew he had no real goals in life. That he just wanted to live.
"And, Johanna dear, have you ever wondered what you will do if the ministry doesn't let you in?"

Johanna smiled at Kale with raised eyebrows, trying to convey her anger in a polite way. She'd ignored his petty jab about Kyou, but her smile slipped off her face as he spoke of the 'stuffy office' and made her question her future. Merlin, she'd really annoyed him.
"Well, I have more chance of joining the Ministry than you do with Quidditch and modelling; do you know how few people become professional Quidditch player or models? Besides, the Ministry is always taking on female employees; they don't want to look sexist. The Minister is trying to appear liberal, with the election coming up," said Johanna with a smirk, raising her cigarette slowly upto her lips.
She did not wish to fight with Kale, and made sure that her tone was poised, but not angry. It would not suit her to fight with one of her closest friends - though if he continued to be so short-tempered, he would feel the strength behind her hand.
"Now then, will you stop being so moody, or am I to curse you?" asked Johanna, with a humorous smirk.
She picked up 'The Somonyng of Everyman' and began to look through it, before casting it aside. She was not going to have her first play be a late 15th century play about good and evil. Whilst a very good play, which she enjoyed alot, she doubted that the rest of the club would share her passion.
Johanna continued to browse through the pile of plays, and refused to look at Kale. She was going to wait for him to speak first. Call it a pride thing.

Her attention to detail was appalling. Hadn't she heard that Quidditch was just an idea? He wanted to write first. He rolled his eyes and let it slip past. Johanna only heard what she wanted to hear. He didn't see that it was fair, that she could be just as horrid, but it was never her fault?
He shrugged. "I appologise then, Miss. Allender. Though I beg of you, to open your ears, and answer all questions thrown at you, however vague your answer may be. he gave her a look, then laughed. "Is that theatrical enough for you, Jo-jo?" he smirked.
The cat sat up, and in a swift movement made her way over to Johanna's knee, making an even worse mess of the pile of plays than it was already. She perched on Johanna's knee and watched her expectantly.
"Can you fly Johanna?"

Johanna chuckled slightly, though she loathed the stupid nickname that Kale insisted on calling her by. It was jut her luck that the name 'Kale' could not be shortened to anything, and therefore she had to resort to 'Blondie' whenever she wished to tease him.
Grunting slightly as Penny placed herself upon her lap, Johanna tried to salvage her plays from underneath the cat. Penny gave her a withering look, and then rubbed her head against Johanna's arm. She awkwardly scratched inbetween the cat's ears, unsure how best to please the cat - she was more of a dog person. Her mother owned three Cocker Spaniels; Rosie, Jasper and Evie, and Johanna had loved growing up with them.
"I can fly, actually - rather well. In our First Year, I was determined I was going to be a Chaser. But then that Hufflepuff chaser, I think she was either a Macmillian or an Abbott, got hit by a Bludger in the face, and was then flung into one of the Keeper's goals during the final. It put me off completly; I still love Quidditch, but I could never play. Why?" she said, with a raised eyebrow.

Kale raised an eye brow at her answer. He was surprised she did. He wondered about joking that she should join the team, he'd watch out for her, but couldn't find a real way to word it without making ti seem like Jo-jo needed protecting. She most certainly didn't.
"You shouldn't have answered me so straight, Johanna. I am now obliged to add you to the list of players for our boxing-day game. It's all fun, and Kat will be playing. I don't know if I've saved you from a long, arduous 'chat' with my mother and older sister, or whether you would have liked that more." he grinned at her.
He laughed again at how she attempted to stroke his cat. He reached forwards and stroked under her throat, showing Johanna. She obviously wasn't use to cats.

Johanna paled at the thought of Mrs Udinovik - she was infamous amongst the social circles in which both their famalies moved. She was both beautiful and icy, and nobody ever left a conversation with her with any shred of dignity. She was known for her wit and sharp-tounge, and Johanna knew she was going to have to be on her best behaviour over Christmas.
"Ah, I would love to show you Swedes how Quidditch is played - when was the last time Sweden actually qualified for the World Cup? And Tina Helstrom is perhaps one of the worst Chasers I have ever seen, yet your country thinks it is acceptable to have her as a Captain. I do, however, admit that Felix Hansen is incredibly fit, for a Keeper. Any chance you know him?" asked Johanna.
She wasn't lying - she had a thing for Quidditch players. Particularly ones called Felix Hansen, but she wasn't fussy. Maybe all people from Sweden were naturally good-looking? All of Kale's family were attractive, and the Quidditch team were practically to die over. It was just a shame that most of them couldn't tell a Bludger from a Quaffle.
