Firstly Noah is a geek, he loves researching, if you can't find him in his office piled under mountains of books and scrolls you will find him in the library. The only thing that intrigues him more than research and books is real life encounters though he hates fighting. In true geek style he is a pacifist, yes he teaches kids to defend themselves and his mother was an auror but that means nothing to his views.

Secondly he is friendly, possibly too friendly especially in regards to his students. If you have to picture Noah as an animal he would be a Labrador, in fact his patronus is a dog. He likes to hug everyone as a greeting though these greetings aren't always met with cheer and welcome. Not that this ever deters his live to please attitude. All who are friend with Noah will know for sure he will make you laugh in any situation and comfort you through thick and thin.

He also has a curious nature, he loves new things and things that cant quite be explained. He makes it his business to collect unwanted wands and examine them, along with this he also has a vast collection of weird and wonderful magical artifacts. Usually to navigate his office is like navigating the room of requirement, piles of books, cages of animals, objects that possibly shouldn't be touched and boxes upon boxes of wands. This reflects his carefree nature, also shown through his wrinkled muggle like clothing under his wizarding robe and never brushed bed head.

Despite all this the students tend to enjoy his lessons, with the vast array of magical creatures they get to learn to defend against, and wondrous lessons that no one can ever predict. he also gives out free lollies which he keeps by the massive bowlful due to his extreme sweet tooth.

detailed history

Noah's story began with his mother and his father, his mother being a pure blood and his father being a muggle born. His father was unlucky all through his life however he was especially unlucky to get caught in a rather dangerous dark wizard gathering on his way home, wands in full sight and spells flying left right and center. This was when Sonata came to the rescue - a fully trained auror at the time - scaring off the dark wizards (though she really wanted to arrest them) and rescuing Blake. Sonata naturally thought that with his rescue Blake would think he was just imagining things and go back to his normal life however they met, again, and again, and again just like fate. With every meet they got closer, dangerously close and this closeness finally resulted in shame.

To marry Blake, Sonata left her job and deserted her pure blood name. She literally vanished into the muggle world settling in a large farm with a garden to tender and kids to mind living a perfectly normal human life. Lowell was the first born and a muggle like his father, next came Noah the apple of his mothers eye. The family was happy Blake raising his muggle son Lowell to be a peeler and Sonata raising her halfblood son to be an auror like her.
Naturally as the current youngest child Noah resisted his mother insisting on his pacifist ways hitting only the books and never using his powers for force.

When he turned eight the twins were born, Alice and Lacie Greystone both halfbloods and the new gems of his mothers eye. Finally Noah was free to be his own person, to a point, his mother still had her clinging hopes for him as an auror. He spent most of his days in his room or down near the river luring exotic magical creatures and noting down their behaviors.

For Noah receiving the letter from Hogwarts resembled escape from his mothers constant teachings. The big red train took him away to the castle where he absorbed everything he could while still managing to kick up some mischief along the way. He aced almost every class - except potions - and returned home as an honor student with the prefect badge which he wore with pride. His mother however was not pleased with his achievements, no matter how well he did he still failed potions. Officially the failure of the family in his mothers eye Noah left home once again to find his own way of life. Joining the ministry to study spells and beasts he joined the magical creature control department. Two years under the wing of the ministry he was finally offered the job of a life time, teaching defense against the dark arts at Hogwarts.

Now with his mother focused on his twin sisters and his ministry past behind him Noah is settling to a more peaceful life as a professor, but how long can that last...

Y O U R DARK S I D E

The sun was shining and the world was bright and green however like usual Professor Greystone was locked away in his office buried under books and artifacts that were slowly becoming his prison. The little sunlight that did get into the office through the cracks of the books hit his desk causing the sleeping professor to stir and yawn sleepily. He had spent the previous night studying curses, in particular the more gruesome ones and the accounts of victims. it was only now that he noticed a thin voice calling for him.

The voice was distant, like a whisper on the breeze but it was definitely a voice. Running a hand through the tangled blonde mess that was his unruly hair, Noah gave a tired sigh picking himself up from his warm desk chair sending scrolls and parchments tumbling to the ground. "Coming" he mumbled before setting off weaving through the maze of books to find the door of his office where hopefully standing outside would be the owner of the voice that beckoned him out and away from his work.
