Bert sat on one of the tables in the History of Magic classroom on the First Floor, polishing his practice Gobstones. The past week had been spent with Bert talking to as many people as possible about joining Gobstones. Next week he was going to start with posters but Bert's drawing skills weren't that great.
Professor Greystone had opened up the classroom for him and at the moment Bert was just waiting for his arrival. Defence Against the Dark Arts was one of Bert's favourite classes, he found both the theory and the practical intriguing and that was something that was hard for Bert to enjoy at the best of times. Greystone always made classes that little bit better as well. It wasn't as though Bert didn't try in his other classes, he sis, but it DADA he tried that little bit harder and hoped that it would pay off. Though, at the best of times, Bert would end up hurting himself when they practiced spells.
There was about ten minutes before training began and Bert hoped that people would start turning up, Yes, he called the club training because that's what he saw it as. Training. Refining a talent that very few people had a natural knack for. Anyone who said otherwise obviously hadn't taken the time out to play.

Safe to say Noah had always been a I will try anything once kind of person. His optimistic free spirited nature assured him of this and so it got him into some wild and sometimes life threatening situations in the past. Gobstones was not life threatening though it could leave you with a nasty stink for a few hours, thankfully Noah was appreciative of this fact when he watched Bert play gobstones a few weeks back. The game seemed fascinating and familiar, he had played the muggle version before, which reassured him that nothing bad would come from this experiment.
Bert was fortunate enough to be one of Noah's favourite students for his spirit alone. Every class he could tell Bert put his heart and soul into those lessons though sometimes things didn't always end in his favor. Talent alone was rarely enough to impress Mr Greystone in his lessons, a student had to have that one stand out quality and Bert had one.
So when Bert caught Professor Greystone watching the match it was fate that Noah took that chance to lodge an interest in the activity. A favorite sixth year student and the defense against the dark arts professor, what could go wrong.
At a request Noah had opened the History of Magic room for Bert and his club, though he was a tad late Noah too was going to play gobstones today, one of those 'I will try it once' things. So there he was jogging through the halls and corridors making his way to the classroom, cursing the stair cases twice because they trolled(changed) on him.
When he finally arrived, Bert was still alone. "Where is the rest of your club?" he asked high spirited.
