Her prefect badge was shining silver under her head girl badge that blazed with honor and pride. All her work, being president of the choir, prefect in younger years and helping out professor after professor with simple little tasks here and these had finally paid off. Now she Amy Miller - muggle-born, hufflepuff - was head girl and in charge of everything student wise. There was no greater honor or higher status.
Of course that did mean she would have to finally meet the pure-blood Ravenclaw Ezio who had been elected head boy. She knew all about him, his father was a supremacist pushing him towards dark magic and though she herself had never talked to him she assumed he would be just as pig brained and horrible as the others. By others she mean't most of the Slytherin student body, with most of them being of pure-blood and some of their bloodlines dating back to the dark ages. She hated them and they hated her it was just the way things were in Hogwarts.
However for tonight, and the future years worth of patrols and head boy/girl duties she and Ezio would have to perform she was willing to compromise. That didn't mean she was going to be on her best behavior though.
After leaving the prefect bathroom and making her way towards the Ravenclaw tower where she hoped she would run into him she sang a tune. It was the latest song they were learning in choir, and as president of the club Amy felt she was required to know the songs perfectly by second practice. She knew the tune, the knew the words and her voice carried the song through the halls and windows catching the attention of lurking students and professors.
The song continued even as she caught sight of some students looking to drop a scarab down a ravenclaw girl's shirt. She only stood there crossing her arms with the darkest glare she could muster. This was enough along with her tapping foot to get the boys attention and send chills down their spine when they looked her in the eye. They knew perfectly well it was easier dancing on the headmasters desk than getting into a scolding of conduct from Amy Miller, proudly opinionated, muggle born and free spirited hufflepuff.
